Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to MyEmpire(referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and guard your information when you visit our website and use our interactive 3D globe advertising platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide to us directly and information generated automatically when you interact with our platform:

  • Billboard Details: When you purchase or manage a billboard slot, you provide a billboard title, a target URL, a description, and an email address.
  • Transaction Data: Payments on our platform are processed securely by our third-party billing processor, Dodo Payments. We do not store or collect your complete payment card details. Dodo Payments handles all checkout and billing operations under their own privacy policies.
  • Communication Data: We collect your email address to send you purchase confirmations, management dashboard links, and notifications if your billboard is outbid.
  • Usage & Device Information: We collect device-specific information (IP addresses, browser type, operating system) and usage statistics via our self-hosted or privacy-focused analytics integrations (e.g., GoatCounter, PostHog, Vercel Analytics).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate, manage, and optimize our interactive advertising game, including:

  • To display your billboard title, URL icon, and description on the map when you own a country.
  • To process your transactions and verify ownership changes.
  • To send you transactional emails, login/management tokens, and outbid alerts.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security threats.
  • To compile aggregated, non-identifying analytics to improve user experience.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use privacy-focused, cookie-free or cookie-light tracking solutions (like GoatCounter) to measure website traffic without identifying individual users. These solutions are chosen specifically to minimize intrusive tracking and protect your privacy while allowing us to monitor platform load and popular destinations.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform:

  • Dodo Payments: Handles checkout processing, billing, and global tax compliance.
  • Resend: Used to deliver transaction notifications, outbid warnings, and management tokens.
  • PostHog & Vercel: Used for system telemetry, performance logging, and feature flags.

6. Data Security and Retention

We employ standard security protocols to safeguard your email address and billboard content. Because billboard ownership logs form a permanent history of the map's price evolution, transaction logs and corresponding pricing history (excluding your personal email) are publicly displayed and retained permanently to preserve the game's transparency and progression.

7. Adult Content Ban & Enforcement

We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding the publication of adult, sexually explicit, or pornographic content and links on billboard slots. If you violate this policy, your billboard content will be immediately deleted without a refund. Furthermore, the associated email address and domains will be permanently blocklisted and banned from making future purchases. We retain banned email records solely to enforce these platform access restrictions.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You have the right to request access to the email address associated with your purchases, edit your active billboard content through your management link, or request that your email address be scrubbed or anonymized in our history logs. If you wish to make a request, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
